I too was wondering about this very thing. I have endometriosis and thus have had a hard time getting a degree. My major was child development and I learned a lot in school but I basically just had to not even pay attention to my grades because they were partially based on attendance and sometimes I can't even walk for a couple days each month. I just absorbed what I could while I was there but my classes seemed so backwords in thier teaching methods. I would spend most of my time debating with my professers. I recently found out about Rudolf Stiener and it really makes a lot of sense to me. It's similar to what my natural philosophy was. Emotional, Physical, Spiritual, Intelectual education is the only true education. It requires smaller classes and more attention then factory daycare (I have worked in huge centers and thats why I went back to school, it disgusted me.) I have finally decided that I really want to start a home daycare again and I want to take classes from home in this type of education to get some kind of degree. I have heard of workshops and thats fine but I want to finish my education and get a degree if it's possible. Maybe you could say a person has to attend a certain number of workshops along with the home studies from books and tapes, or online... I know Waldorf doesn't care to teach with computers for children but what about adults?
