Waldorf Interest

Hello fellow sentients,
I am a public school credentialed teacher but would like to further explore Waldorf pedagogy. I've done plenty of reading but don't know much about the teacher training program. Are most of them 3 years long? I wonder if there are any teacher training programs in Humboldt County, CA near Arcata? Any info would be appreciated!

Contact Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento. I don't have their web address but I am sure you can find it easily. They have a 2 year training and would also be likely to have info on anything else available in your area. There is a big conference there in February where you could get a good dose of the pedagogy and meet Waldorf people from all over the country and especially from northern CA. Good luck.

    hi linda.
i taught public school for five years and now i am working towards a MSEd in waldorf ed... what do you teach?
The Steiner School in Sacramento is probably the closest to you. there are also satellite campuses in San Fran and Los Altos (I think - is that even a place? im from NY), as well as training schools in oregon and washington (Definately seattle, i forgot the others). I believe the only schools that actually have accreditation to issue a DEGREE in your area is the steiner school and it's satellites. Sunbridge college in NY and the Antioch New England schools (NH somewhere) each offer degrees as well. A really good place to look would be the American Waldorf Schools of North America website (www.awsna.org) or a place like WaldorfWorld.net.
    enjoy!
