Re: gnomes and waldorf?
Wed, February 9, 2005 - 5:24 PMthanks, that was a good laugh. I teach 1st grade in a Waldorf school and I use gnomes alot as characters in stories that reach the childrens' imagination. In the young child, the imagination is the doorway to developing future thinking capacity. I have math gnomes and reading gnomes and the children journey with the gnomes into the skills that I am showing them. -

Re: gnomes and waldorf?
Sun, January 1, 2006 - 10:22 PMI found gnomes to be one of my connections to biodynamics and through that to waldorf,
the thing is I follow native tradition and work with earth, air, fire, water spirits and my intro to biodynamics was filled with reference to gnomes, undines and salamanders, with faeries, and my question was; what is this and how does it relate?
Answer;earth=stone spirits= gnomes, air-faery, water=undines, salamanders are the fire spirits, so then it made sense.
