i have put two of my three boys through waldorf preschool. my eight year old went into public school afterward, and because of his waldorf environment, has an exceptional learning attitude. his teachers always tell me they are amazed by his cognative skills. i believe the simple and gentle rituals of the waldorf day have given him an ability to sit and absorb/assimilate lessons into his conciousness rather than to just repeat what the teacher said.

my youngest is still at the preschool and at three years old is already able to focus and engage in quiet things such as basket weaving, sewing and the monday bread making. he also loves to chase the ducks and divert the creek.
